Is it possible we’re starting to think about the FARM 2016 conference? Ummmm, YEAH. Planning is virtually a year round thing here at FARM Central! We are close to announcing a VERY exciting Keynote speaker, about to update the website to reflect all things 2016, AND plan on offering special registration rates at the FAI conference in Kansas City in February. So much to do!
Why should you make plans now to attend FARM’s 2016 conference in Iowa City from October 27 to 30? One reason comes from a 2015 conference attendee:
This past October was my first year at the conference. I am a retired volunteer who helps with the bookings for the Black Hawk Folk Society. I just want to share with you how successful the conference was for me. As a direct result of attending, I booked seven artists for 2016, (only one of which I was previously familiar with). Thanks all you guys do at FARM, see you in October! Tom Barrett.
If you want to be a more active part of your FARM community, WE NEED YOU! There is a lot to do. Send an email to Smitty and tell him you want to help and we’ll find something fun, easy, and fulfilling to do. It takes a village, as they say, and we want you to be involved!
FARM 2015 – Wrap Up Notes:
Did you take any pictures you are proud of during the 2015 conference? We’d love to use them for our website gallery and Facebook page. We don’t pay a professional photographer, counting on crowd sourcing and passing the savings on to you. Email Nancy with your files, or for instructions on how to use a service to transfer them to her.
Do you have any memories of the 2015 Conference you want to share? Send an email to Smitty and tell us all about it!
Champ Smith, hard at work on FARM 2016!!
