The FARM Board of Directors convened early this week to discuss our conference plans for the Fall of 2021. We regret to announce that we have made the decision to postpone our conference until 2022, when we will gather in Lisle, Illinois. Our current plan is to return to Grand Rapids in 2024.

Our decision was based on the information we were able to gather, the current uncertainty of the pandemic, and our relationship with the host hotel. Our gatherings are dependent on shared song, meals, and close personal contact. With what is known about the pandemic now, we would be unable to produce a risk-free event and provide a meaningful conference.

While October is a long way off, we couldn’t hold off on our decision without risking significant financial penalties and limiting the host hotel’s ability to plan appropriately.

We are deeply committed to serving the FARM community and will continue to produce quality content through our Virtual Connections while laying a foundation for a platform that will be a big part of keeping our community engaged for years to come.

We are grateful for all the support and participation in our ongoing programs across the folk community. The health of our community is our top priority. This decision was painful, but we believe it was the best option for both FARM and the Crowne Plaza hotel.

All deferred registrations will be honored in 2022. If you’d like to see other options, please follow this link and complete the form. https://forms.gle/DnAbsJVvJXi941Rh7

Thank you all for being a part of our family. We look forward to being able to gather again.
