Many people were involved in creating FARM’s first one-day conference in Fayette Ohio, not the least of which were all the wonderful folks at the Fayette Opera House who provided most of the volunteers, home-cooked meals, kept us watered and caffeinated all day and even participated in open mics and jams. A BIG shout out to Bob Hofbauer, Board Member and concert host, for an incredibly fine job organizing our first FARMette! We heard NOTHING but good things from all those in attendance. The day went without a hitch, workshops were great, food was great, all the music was excellent and the official showcases were outstanding! It’s safe to say that this day exceeded all expectations and was a huge success.
Here’s a link to a nice preview article that we know brought a couple of walk-ups to the conference: http://www.toledoblade.com/Music-Theater-Dance/2012/04/25/Folk-fest-set-at-Fayette-Opera-House.html
We’ll be posting photos here as soon as they’re available. Anyone who would like to share their own snapshots of the day, please feel free to email us at info@farmfolk.org
It’s time now to start really gearing up for FARM in St. Louis, so stayed tuned for updates as they come in.
