FARMette Showcase Submissions

Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) is now accepting submissions from performers for the official showcase at FARMette, our one day conference on May 2nd!

A panel of judges will rate videos submitted by the performers.  The 10 best artists will be invited to perform at the FARMette conference on Saturday May 2, 2015 in Northwest Ohio, in front of the venue managers, radio DJs, and other music lovers in attendance.  (Conference details are at

Complete showcase submission instructions, including online submission and payment forms, are on this web page:

Each performer must provide two videos online, and a submission fee of $15.  Good news: that fee has not increased since 2012, and we’re waiving the additional showcase fee for those selected!  More good news: because FARMette is geographically distant from our October FARM gatherings, 2013 and 2014 showcase performers are also eligible.

The best video submissions are recordings of live performances (example), so we can see accurately how you (performing individual or group) truly appear and sound on-stage, preferably in front of an audience.  Note: the videos must portray the same performers as will be in the showcase, including any backup musicians.

Those selected to perform and alternates will be notified in late March.  The performers selected must be registered for the full conference, and also be registered Folk Alliance members.  (Non-members can join here.)  By submitting an application and committing to perform, you agree that FARM may use your photo and video in advertising for the conference.

Thanks to The Listening Room Network for again providing the technology and administrative support to help FARM manage our video submissions.

Performers are the face of FARM!  We encourage all interested performers to consider a submission… and everyone in the Folk community to encourage the performers, who you’d like to see in the showcase, to apply.

Again, complete instructions are on this page.  For additional questions about showcases, feel free to contact the FARMette 2015 Showcase Coordinator, B Ryan B ( at
