Special Features at FARM 2022
Wisdom of Across the Ages - Friday 2:30p
Wisdom of Across the Ages. Because we believe wisdom isn’t acquired strictly by those of a certain age and this year’s panel is packed with some amazing artists and activists in our community; Joel Mabus, Susan Werner, Elexa Dawson and The Accidentals (Sav Buist & Katie Larson) Moderated by Annie Bacon.
The Drop Zone
Back by popular demand, the Drop Zone is a designated space where participating presenters and DJs will be assigned their own box for collecting attendee CDs &/or One Sheets. While we believe that personal contact is best, it’s not always easy to connect with every artist, presenter or DJ. Artists simply drop by The Drop Zone, read the instructions, and choose which boxes they will fill. Presenters & DJs interested in participating please fill out this form https://forms.gle/RC1qvL9BB2aVaPTV6. Any questions – please contact Ellen at efspublicity@gmail.com
Guide Me: Sharing the Music of Ella Jenkins - Saturday 12p
Ella Jenkins, the “First Lady of Children’s Music,” is an iconic children’s performer, and she has been one of the genre’s leading voices for more than 50 years. Nurtured by the rich musical culture of her Chicago neighborhood, Jenkins was immersed in song from her earliest days. She has spent the rest of her life helping other children find that same enjoyment in music.
Chicago performing and teaching artist Erin Flynn will join documentary director Tim Ferrin to share film clips, stories, songs and insights about their friend, Ella Jenkins, and the making of the Ella Jenkins documentary in a special FARM workshop called “Guide Me: Sharing the Music of Ella Jenkins”
Farewell Community Sing - Sunday 2p
We couldn’t think of a better way to close our weekend together than with a whole lot of beautiful voices raised in song. Hall & Morgan and Mark Dvorak will lead this annual tradition on Sunday at 2p in The Pine. Hope to hear you there!
