Webinars, Peer Group Sessions, Performance Lane (NEW) and More …
As we’ve done since the pandemic, FARM continues to offer monthly peer gatherings, occasional webinars, and our Virtual Performance Lane (January–June). We’re also excited to bring back our popular virtual speed-mentoring program. These are all great opportunities to connect with your fellow artists, venues, djs and industry professionals and advocates. You do not need to be a Folk Alliance member or live in the Midwest to join us. The only attendance that is restricted is the Live Music Presenters for which you need to be involved with presenting live music to attend.
For all of our Peer Gatherings, you only need to register once to attend any of the future sessions. You’ll be sent a reminder email prior to each session, but you can use this link every time.
As always, Virtual Connections events are FREE to attend

DIY Advertising for Independent Artists

We welcome Tim Jack, Founder of Rise (rise.la), for an in-depth discussion and demonstration of their data-driven advertising platform for increasing visibility and engagement on Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and more.

Community Peer Gathering
When: 1st and 3rd Thursday
Times: 2 pm Eastern
Come one come all, near and far and join us for some great conversation about pretty much anything that’s on your mind. These Peer Group Sessions are open to the entire Folk Community regardless of where you live or what role you play in the community.
(NOTE: The Zoom meeting only lists the third Thursdays but this will work for the 1st Thursday as well)
Live Music Presenters Peer Gathering
When: 2nd Wednesday
Times: 8 pm Eastern / 7 pm Central
A monthly meet-up for Concert & Festival Presenters. This is a chance to connect with your fellow hosts about everything from filling seats, block booking, PRO concerns, and more. Open to all those who identify as a concert or festival presenter or aspiring presenter.
Folk DJ & Friends
When: 4th Wednesday
Times: 8 pm Eastern / 7 pm Central
A monthly meet-up for Folk Djs and those interested in talking to the Folk DJs. The topics range from the way radio has evolved, going digital, producing a show remotely, diversity in programming, and what you had for dinner. All are welcome to join the conversation.

Monthly Performance Lane
When: Last Thursday of the Month
Times: 8 pm Eastern / 7 pm Central
FARM’s Virtual Performance Lane offers a limited number of pre-scheduled 10-minute performances that take place on Zoom. This showcase is filled in advance by an open call for sign ups announced in our newsletter.
The performances are open to the public to attend via Zoom and will also be live-streamed to FARM’s Facebook Page and Youtube Channel.
